James Gabriel Fadriga is a graduate of Bachelor of Music in Performance, Major in Guitar at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. With his time at the university, there he took classical training from playing solo and ensemble pieces, pedagogy/teaching methods, music history to guitar arranging. He also learned about other forms of music apart from classical music like flamenco, jazz and indigenous music. Aside from that, he also took piano as a minor under the tutelage of Raul M. Sunico, concert pianist and the current dean of St. Paul University Manila College of Music and the Performing Arts. There he learned the nature, fundamentals and technique of the instrument. Being in the university also helped him become part of concerts like the UST Guitar Christmas concert last 2025 entitled Natividad en Familia held at Manila Pianos which he played as part of an ensemble. He also recently had his concert entitled Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre which is the finale and concerto piece for guitar and piano collaborating with concert pianist, Dingdong Fiel.
Apart from his time at the university, James is also a session guitarist. He is a session guitarist for the artist Ben Mara, playing guitar and backing vocals in live performances as well as recordings. James also performs in gigs playing guitar and vocals, playing different genres like rock, jazz, R&B, etc.
